{"id":10257,"date":"2020-02-17T17:01:25","date_gmt":"2020-02-17T16:01:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/auren.com\/il\/global-blog\/tax-residence-in-uruguay-2\/"},"modified":"2025-04-10T09:20:27","modified_gmt":"2025-04-10T07:20:27","slug":"tax-residence-in-uruguay-2","status":"publish","type":"global-blog","link":"https:\/\/auren.com\/il\/he\/global-blog\/tax-residence-in-uruguay-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Tax residence in Uruguay"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are immersed in an increasingly global world, which not<br \/>\nonly allows us to have access to goods and services &nbsp;generated anywhere in the world, but also<br \/>\nchoose the place from which to interact with the rest of the it, and, &nbsp;in particular, in which country we want to pay<br \/>\ntaxes.<\/p>\n<p>In this respect, Uruguayan tax law considers as a tax<br \/>\nresident the individual who meets any of the following conditions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stay more than 183 during the calendar year in Uruguayan territory.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Has the base of activities is in Uruguay<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Its economic interests are in Uruguay.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Its vital interests are in Uruguay.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Regarding legal persons and other entities, Uruguayan law<br \/>\nconsiders these are tax residents in the place they have been constituted. <\/p>\n<p>However, legal persons from abroad and other entities not<br \/>\nincorporated in accordance with Uruguayan law, which establishes their address<br \/>\nin the country, will be considered residents from the completion of the formal procedures<br \/>\nfor the change of address.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, legal persons and other entities<br \/>\nincorporated in accordance with Uruguayan laws shall be deemed to no longer be<br \/>\nan Uruguayan tax resident, where they have no address in the country and have<br \/>\ncompleted all legal and regulatory procedures for the change of address abroad.<\/p>\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">But, why being a Tax<br \/>\nResident in Uruguay?<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>Uruguay, unless some exceptions, taxes income from Uruguayan sources (activities developed, and rights exploited in Uruguay).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Uruguay taxes only assets located in Uruguay.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Uruguay has signed more than 20 Double Taxation Treaties with third countries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Corporate Income Tax is 25%, and for individual, goes between 0% to 36%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Ra\u00fal Giacomini from Auren Uruguay<\/em><\/p>\n<p><!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are immersed in an increasingly global world, which not only allows us to have access to goods and services  generated anywhere in the world, but also choose the place from which to interact with the rest of the it, and,  in particular, in which country we want to pay taxes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":8315,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"global-blog-category":[],"class_list":["post-10257","global-blog","type-global-blog","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
