The International Chairman of Auren, Antoni Gómez attended as a speaker the 32nd session of UNCTAD’s Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting (ISAR). The meeting took place at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, last 5th November 2015.

The two main agenda items that were discussed during the session were:

-Key foundations of high-quality reporting: International audit and assurance requirements and good practices on their implementation.

-Review of good practices on enhancing the role of corporate reporting in attaining sustainable development goals.

The session was opened by the Secretary General of UNCTAD, Mr. Mukhisa Kityui, followed by a keynote address by the Chair of the Financial Accounting Standards Board, Mr. Russell G. Golden.

There were several high level panels featuring senior representatives and officials from institutions like: United Nations Environment Programme, the World Bank, the European Commission, the Financial Stability Board, the International Forum of Independent Audit Regulators, the International Federation of Accountants, professional organizations and leading accounting firms, among others.
