16th Auren International Conference & 14th Antea Worldwide Conference in Barcelona

02/11/2022

After near 3 years holding conferences virtually, last 29th September Auren celebrated its 16th International Conference in the Catalan capital, where brought together near 70 partners from different offices where we are present. The agenda of the event brought latest global updates, a review on each country evolution as well as, sustainability as part of the future strategy. The program also included a presentation explaining the leadership succession and inorganic growth, pointing out that succession is something to work on and that requires a follow-up plan to choose the best alternative.

The following day, it took place Antea’s 14th Worldwide Conference, in which we welcomed more than 100 delegates from 30 countries, including some of the newest Antea’s members from Uganda, Egypt, Lebanon and Belgium.

The programme started with an official welcome covering the latest developments during the year, which involved: a membership report, strategy and expansion plan for the coming year as well as updates on ongoing initiatives related to marketing and communication elements.

Within the context of the conference, the Annual General Meeting was held to approve the year-end closing and the budget for 2022-2023, as well as the appointment of new members of the Board of Directors.

In addition to cover internal topics, the conference agenda was complemented by technical content ranging from the challenges faced by professional services firms in attracting and retaining talent to innovation as a lever for determining the firms of the future.

At conferences we strive to offer the attendees an exciting but balanced professional and social program, and this year was not the exception. Participants had the chance to spend time together in a more relaxed atmosphere while enjoying the gastronomy and the beautiful architecture of Barcelona.

One of the most relevant points of the conferences was that, after many years, this was the last edition in which Antoni Gómez participated as the Chairman of Auren and Antea’s CEO after announcing his retirement. It will be, Mario Alonso and José Luís Galipienso who from now on are appointed with the respective positions. Thank you, Antoni, for this wonderful international trip, it wouldn’t have been possible without you!
