On 1 July 2021, the second stage of the VAT e-commerce package will enter into force. This will have a comprehensive impact on all traders who engage in cross-border online trade or provide certain services in other EU Member States.
In the case of distance sales, the current national delivery thresholds will be abolished, so that VAT must already be paid abroad for the first package delivered to private end customers in other EU countries.
Registration in the new One Stop Shop (OSS) scheme offers simplifications. Pre-registration has already been available since 1 April 2021. Via this One Stop Shop, VAT can also be reported for all services for which VAT is payable in the other EU Member State.
Our webinar will show you the challenges that have to be overcome in accounting as a result of this reform. A large number of examples will illustrate the different options. In addition, we provide information about the VAT obligations in the UK that will arise for exports to the island after Brexit.
